United Vying With Arsenal And Spurs As They Line Up 13M Rated Trippier Alternative

Manchester United have “shown interest” in Lille right-back Zeki Celik, according to the Evening Standard. The newspaper reports that the Red Devils will join Arsenal and Tottenham in the race for the Turkish international.

There have been fresh claims that United are keen on reviving their attempt to snap up Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier but reports in Spain suggest the 30-year-old is not interested in moving away from the La Liga champions.

If that is the case then the Manchester club’s interest in Celik would make sense. The 24-year-old helped Lille win an unexpected Ligue One title last season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 29 league appearances.

The fullback’s price tag also makes him an attractive option with the Standard claiming that he could be available for as little as €15m (£13m). Considering United also want to make moves for Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane, reducing their transfer spend on a new right-back would also free up funds for those two potential purchases.
