United ‘Very Interested’ In Signing 27m Rated Spanish Star With Player Keen To Have Move Secured By ‘Next Week’

Manchester United are “very interested” in signing Real Madrid left-back Sergio Reguilon, according to AS. The Madrid based publication report that the Red Devils have made an approach for the 23-year-old over the past few days.

They also claim that the defender is keen to have his future sorted out by “next week” when he returns from international duty with Spain as he is aware he is not part of Real boss Zinedine Zidane’s plans for the new season.

Reguilon, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal this summer, is behind Ferland Mendy and Marcelo in the pecking order at the Bernabeu and wants to move to a club where he can play regularly.

The fullback spent last season on loan at Sevilla, and the La Liga side are keen on having him back, but they won’t be able to compete with United in terms of finances.

Real are believed to be demanding between €25m (£22m) and €30m (£27m) for Reguilon, but they are also considering whether to include a buyback option in any deal.
