United urged to sign Bale by former star

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has urged Jose Mourinho to do all he can in order to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid this summer.

Bale hinted he could be on the way out of the Bernabeu after a shocking post Champions League final interview, where he scored a brace which won his side the trophy.

The Welshman has won four Champions League titles at Madrid along with a La Liga title since joining back in 2013, but his game time was limited last season by former manager Zinedine Zidane.

United have always been admirers of Bale, who snubbed the Red Devils to sign for Madrid, and have constantly been linked with a move for the 28-year-old ever since.

Dwight Yorke believes Bale would be a ‘perfect addition’ to Mourinho’s squad at Old Trafford, insisting that they should sign the winger.

“Manchester United and Jose don’t need to look at the World Cup,” he told 888sport.

“No player suits us more than Gareth Bale. Yes there will always be some exciting candidates to look at but Bale is someone who excites me.

“He is the right age, in his prime, and will be the perfect addition.”

United have already completed the signings of £52m Fred and £19m Dalot this summer, signings who York admits he does not know too much about.

“We don’t know too much about Dalot and Fred and they haven’t been tested yet in our league,” he added. “Jose has looked to improve as United always does and to do his business as early as possible.”
