‘We Need To Secure This Signing’ ‘He’s Surely Joining Newcastle’ Fans React As United Pursue Move For 26 y/o Defender

Manchester United retain an interest in signing Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer, according to the BBC.

The former Manchester City player is out of contract this summer and he has been heavily linked with a switch to Newcastle.

Despite the Magpies still being the favourites for Adarabioyo’s services, though, the Red Devils have stayed in the race and fans on X are hopeful of snapping up the 26-year-old:

Adarabioyo has other Premier League suitors

The BBC claim that Liverpool, Tottenham and AC Milan could also be pursuing the centre-back, while Chelsea have been mentioned in other reports over the past few days.

From the sound of things, though, Newcastle are the team who have made the most headway so United may find it difficult to change Adarabioyo's mind.

Are United targeting other centre-halves?

The club's recruitment department are said to be keeping tabs on a number of players including Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo, Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite, Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi, Juventus's Gleison Bremer and Ajax's Jorrel Hato.

However, all of those defenders could be rather expensive and Adarabioyo's availability on a free makes him a very attractive target. Signing him would free up funds to spend on other positions that need to be strengthened this summer.
