Romano Confirms When United Will Make Offer For £26M Rated Serie A Star

Manchester United will only make a bid for Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat when either Fred or Donny van de Beek leaves Old Trafford, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

There has been a lot of speculation in Italy that the Red Devils have already tabled offers for the Moroccan international but Romano says any approach depends on outgoings:

As Romano mentions, there were also quotes credited to Amrabat that hinted that the midfielder would consider staying with Fiorentina, but those comments are not thought to be genuine.

For all intents and purposes, the 26-year-old is very keen on making the move to United before the transfer window closes on September 1st.

Will United have rivals for Amrabat’s signature?

Saudi Arabian clubs are believed to have registered an interest in the midfielder but it looks like that he wants to stay in Europe.

Both Liverpool and West Ham have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Amrabat but both teams are currently focused on signing other targets.

How much will Amrabat cost?

One of the reasons why United are so interested in recruiting the Moroccan is due to his reported valuation. Fiorentina are not expected to hold out for a huge sum, with an offer between €28m (£24m) and €30m (£26m) likely to be enough.

Considering Amrabat had an outstanding World Cup and he is about to hit the prime of his career, the Red Devils could secure his signature for a bargain price, especially when you consider what other players on the market are fetching.
