Barcelona have rejected a €60m (£51m) offer from an unnamed Premier League team for Manchester United target Raphinha, according to Sport.

The Catalan publication claims that the Brazilian international will be on the market this summer but he won’t be sold for less than €80m (£68m).

Raphinha has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months, with Barca having resolved to offload the former Leeds player in order to improve their financial situation.

Sport report that United and Chelsea are the two likeliest clubs in England to be interested in the forward; both due to their financial resources and the fact that they need to improve their forward lines.

Could the Brazilian be a replacement for Antony?

United’s options on the right-hand side of attack are pretty weak. Alejandro Garnacho has performed ably in the position but the Argentine’s preference is to play off the left flank.

Of course, Antony is the player who should be a regular starter in that role. However, the 24-year-old has struggled during his second season in England, having scored just 2 goals and provided 2 assists in 32 appearances.

The winger has been mostly deployed as a substitute by manager Erik ten Hag this campaign and there is growing speculation that he could be sold if the club receive the right offer this summer. The interest in Raphinha would, therefore, make sense if that does happen.

United are looking at other wingers

The Red Devils are known to have a very strong interest in Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise. Respected journalist Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that the club have been keeping close tabs on the Frenchman.

Olise reportedly has a release clause in his contract which is worth less than £60m but the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea are also known to be keen on the player.
