United Named Among 4 PL Clubs Who Are Pursuing Bundesliga Ace Described As The Next Sancho

Manchester United are one of the clubs who have kept tabs on Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, according to Bild (via the Daily Express).

The winger has been labelled the next Jadon Sancho, having travelled the same path from Manchester City’s academy to the Bundesliga club.

Bynoe-Gittens made the switch from City to Dortmund in 2020 before making his senior debut, and it was only last season when he began to feature more prominently in the first team.

United are not the only English side keeping tabs on the 19-year-old, with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle also monitoring his development.

Bild report that the Gunners are the club most interested in Bynoe-Gittens, but it is not expected that the player will be leaving Germany any time soon.

Dortmund have tied the player down to a new contract

It is believed that the interest from Premier League teams forced Dortmund into action with regards to offering Bynoe-Gittens a contract extension.

The winger put pen to paper on a new deal earlier this month, keeping him at Signal Iduna Park until 2028.

United would be hesitant about signing another Sancho

Considering the issues they have had after paying £73m for Jadon Sancho a couple of years ago, it would be a surprise if the Red Devils were seriously considering Bynoe-Gittens as a target.

Of course, just because the two players have had similar starts to their careers, it doesn’t mean that they have similar personalities or ability, but Bynoe-Gittens is still very much an unknown quantity.

The teenager has made just 29 senior appearances so far, scoring 3 goals and providing 1 assist. United would be betting a lot on his potential if they do go after him in a future transfer window.
