United Told To Pay ‘At Least’ 62.6M To Sign French Ace Who Has Scored 22 Times This Season

Manchester United will need to pay “at least” €75m (£62.6m) for RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku, according to Bild.

The German tabloid claims the Red Devils are tracking the 24-year-old, with interim boss Ralf Rangnick having recommended him after previously engineering his move to Germany.

Nkunku has been in excellent form this campaign, having racked up 22 goals in 33 appearances, despite playing most of his minutes as a number 10 for Leipzig.

His performances have also reportedly attracted the attention of former club Paris Saint-Germain, who let him leave in the summer of 2019.

Other Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, Liverpool Arsenal and Manchester City, have also been mentioned as potential suitors for Nkunku in recent months, but Rangnick’s connections with Leipzig could prove important.

Bild report that the Bundesliga club may only be willing to let one of Nkunku and Dani Olmo leave at the end of the season, so United may need to move quickly if they are to sign the Frenchman.
