United Told To ‘Name ‘Their Price’ After Chelsea Step Up Attempts To Sign 23 Year Old

Manchester United will be asked to “name their price” by Chelsea for goalkeeper Dean Henderson, according to the Express.

The 23-year-old kept another clean sheet for Sheffield United in the 3-0 win against the Blues yesterday and Frank Lampard’s side are reportedly ready to make their move for the shot-stopper as they seek a replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Henderson has been in excellent form for the Blades this season, and his performances have been widely praised in the media. However, with David De Gea likely to be a major obstacle to him becoming United’s first choice, Chelsea are said to be looking to exploit the situation.

It is doubtful, though, that the Red Devils would sanction the sale of Henderson to one of their main rivals. Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already stated that he sees the keeper as the club’s future number one.

A bid from Chelsea is, therefore, likely to be rejected with the likeliest outcome that the player goes on another loan spell next campaign in order to make sure he continues to get regular first-team football.
