United Told They Will Be Getting A ‘Bargain’ As La Liga Ace’s Release Clause Stays At 35M

Celtic Vigo attacking midfielder Gabri Veiga will be available for just €40m (£35m) this summer, according to AS.

The Spanish newspaper claims that Manchester United, Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool are all interested in the 20-year-old (along with both Madrid clubs), and they report that he will be sold for a “bargain” price.

Celta were hoping that Veiga would sign a new contract, which would increase his release clause to a fee above €40m, but that is not something that the midfielder is prepared to agree to.

It means the Spanish Under 21 international is expected to leave his current club at the end of the season on the proviso that a team is willing to pay the current buyout fee.

Considering Veiga’s recent form, that is likely. The playmaker has had a breakthrough campaign in Spain, having scored eight goals and laid on three assists in just 24 league appearances this season.
