Barcelona central midfielder Ivan Rakitic will be available for just €20m (18m) this summer after the Spanish club put the player up for the sale, according to Goal.
The website reports that the Catalan club are prepared to offload the 32-year-old, with Sevilla, Manchester United and Inter Milan all having been linked with the player in recent months.
It is believed that Sevilla are the frontrunners for Rakitic. The Croatian spent three and a half years at the Andalusian club before making the switch to the Camp Nou in 2014 and he is said to be keen to return to his former team.
The midfielder is reportedly even willing to take a pay cut to make the move happen suggesting United’s chances of securing his signature are pretty slim.
The Red Devils are looking for another midfielder, with the likes of Jack Grealish and James Maddison on the club’s radar, but Rakitic’s age may well be the deciding factor against pursuing the player.
