United To Consider Selling Herrera For £5m in January

Manchester United will consider letting Ander Herrera leave in the January transfer window, according to the Sun.

The Spaniard’s contract expires at the end of the season, and negotiations over a new contract have reportedly stalled.

Herrera will be able to speak to foreign clubs in two months time, and United are believed to be keen to offload the player in the New Year, rather than allowing him to leave for nothing in the summer.

The Manchester club are said to be seeking a fee in the region of £3m to £5m, with Everton believed to be leading the chase for the 29-year-old.

However, Herrera is reportedly keen on returning to Athletic Bilbao. The midfielder left the La Liga side in a £32m deal back in 2014, and if he chooses to, he can sign a pre-contract agreement with them in January.

The Spanish international has made just five appearances in all competitions for United this season, making just two starts.
