United Tipped To Make Summer Raid For The ‘Austrian N’Golo Kante’

Manchester United are interested in RB Leipzig holding midfielder Konrad Laimer, according to reports in the German media.

The 24-year-old, who has been labelled as an “Austrian N’Golo Kante”, is being considered as a potential summer signing by the Red Devils, with the club looking to strengthen their options in the middle of the park.

Manager Ralf Rangnick has recently expressed his dissatisfaction with the lack of physicality and aggression in United’s first-team squad, and he could have recommended Laimer as a possible solution to the problem.

The Manchester club won’t be the only team pursuing the Austrian international, though, with it being claimed that Tottenham are also keeping tabs on the player.

United are, however, unlikely to finalise their summer transfer plans until they have a new permanent manager in place. Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag remains the favourite to replace Rangnick in the hot seat but no final decision has been made.
