Manchester United have table an offer for Liverpool target Nabil Fekir, according to reports.
The Lyon star was reportedly close to joining Liverpool in a £60 million deal earlier this month, however his proposed move to Anfield broke down with reports suggesting the Reds detected a problem with the player’s knee during his medical.
Subsequent to Fekir’s failed move to Anfield, Lyon revealed the France international would remain in Ligue 1 next season.
However French paper Le Progres claim Lyon will still sell a number of their biggest stars this summer including Fekir, and that Manchester United could be ready to capitalise on Liverpool’s failure to complete a move for the 24-year-old.
“For Nabil, offers are not lacking. The latest comes from Manchester United,” the report from the French newspaper says.
Lyon president Jean-Michael Aulas also confirmed United’s interest in Fekir, saying: “I was with Jose Mourinho the other day. We had long discussions.
“Personally, I am no longer in discussions with Liverpool. At the moment, we are waiting for France and Nabil to have a fantastic World Cup.”
Fekir joined Lyon in 2011 as a youngster, and has since made 153 appearances for Les Gones, scoring 57 goals – 23 of which came last season.
