United Table £46m Offer For Brazilian Speedster

Manchester United have made a €50m (£46m) bid for Ajax winger David Neres, according to reports in Brazil. The Brazilian international was a standout performer for his club last season, helping his side to the Champions League semi-finals.

The Red Devils are believed to be keen on signing another wide man this summer and Neres would certainly be capable of filling their problem position on the right-hand side of the pitch.

Anthony Martial and Daniel James both favour the left-wing, leaving manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with Jesse Lingard as his only real option for the opposite flank.

Neres played on both wings for Ajax last season, scoring 12 goals and providing 15 assists in 50 appearances for the Eredivisie side. He is predominantly left-footed and would cut-inside in order to get involved with attacks.

At 22 years of age, he would also be another young player that Solskajer could help develop over the coming years.
