United Step Up Pursuit Of Spanish Starlet After Scouts Are Twice Sent To See Player In Action

Manchester United are interested in signing Dinamo Zagreb attacking midfielder Dani Olmo, according to reports in Spain.

In recent weeks, the Red Devils have apparently sent scouts to see the player in action on two separate occasions, but so far they haven’t been able to come to an agreement with his club.

Olmo joined Dinamo from Barcelona in 2014 in a swap deal with Alen Halilovic, and he has gone on to perform very well both in the Croatian league and in Europe.

The 20-year-old scored one goal and provided two assists in six Champions League qualifiers this campaign. After Dinamo failed to reach the group stages, he has continued his fine form in the Europa League.

Olmo has contributed goals and assists in three of the Croatian side’s four wins in the competition so far and has also helped them to an unbeaten start domestically.

Barca are reportedly keen to re-sign the Spaniard, but they will also face competition from United, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Valencia as well as Liverpool who’ve also been keeping track of the playmaker.
