United Start Talks To Sign Ivorian Teenage Sensation

Manchester United have begun talks with Atalanta about signing winger Amad Traore, according to reports in the local media.

The 18-year-old is highly rated by the Serie A club and despite having made just three senior appearances, it is believed he won’t be sold on the cheap before the transfer window closes next month.

Arsenal were linked with Traore, and his brother Hamed, earlier this year, and it is thought that United have made contact with Atalanta to register their interest as they are aware that there are a number of other clubs trying to sign the Ivorian.

The teenager is not being targeted as an alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho despite the fact that both players prefer playing on the right-wing.

Traore does possess a great deal of pace and, the fact that he is comfortable on both feet means he would be a perfect fit to play in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s front three.
