United Star’s Future In The Balance As He Ponders New Deal Despite Terms With La Liga Giants “All But” Agreed

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has yet to make a firm decision on his future, according to The Athletic journalist Laurie Whitwell.

Old Trafford insiders apparently told the reporter that the Frenchman “could well sign a new deal” with the Red Devils despite negotiations over his personal terms for a move to Real Madrid being “all but done.”

The saga over Pogba’s future looks set to continue then if this latest report is to be believed. United’s upturn in form under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to have swayed the midfielder’s thinking into staying, but it clearly isn’t set in stone quite yet.

The 26-year-old’s current contract with the Manchester club expires in 2021, but they do have the option of extending it for a further year.

Pogba is expected to return to full training tomorrow, which will be a big boost to United’s ambitions of finishing in the Champions League places (if that is, fixtures resume at some point).
