United Star ‘Wants’ To Leave In January After Being Left Frustrated With Lack Of Chances

Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson “wants” a loan move away from Old Trafford when the January transfer window opens, according to the Sun.

The 23-year-old got his first England cap against Iceland in the Nations League last week but he knows he will need more game time if he is going to be included in Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championships.

Henderson has made just three appearances in all competitions for United this season, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer having favoured David De Gea, and the keeper is not content to sit on the bench for the rest of the campaign.

Leeds United and Brighton are believed to be the two Premier League teams keenest on taking the shot-stopper, while Championship side Bournemouth are also said to be interested.

Henderson would prefer to play in the top flight in order to increase his chances of being selected by England but it remains to be seen whether United would be prepared to let him go, considering Sergio Romero is also expected to leave in the New Year.
