United Star Has ‘Asked His Agent’ To Try And Force Exit After Club Refuse To Budge On Valuation

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has “asked his agent” to convince the club into letting him leave for Estudiantes on a permanent basis, according to El Eco.

The Argentinian news outlet claim that the 30-year-old will have to return to Old Trafford on July 1st at the end of his loan spell unless a new agreement can be reached.

United are reportedly asking for $12m (around £9.6m) for Rojo which Estudiantes cannot afford to pay.

However, Rojo is very keen on staying in Argentina for personal reasons, with his wife expecting a child, and he is not planning on travelling back to Manchester.

Whether United will agree to a cut-price deal on compassionate grounds, it is not known. The Red Devils spent £16m on the defender when he arrived from Sporting Lisbon in 2014.

Rojo has spent the best part of six years in England, but injuries have limited his game time, having made just 122 appearances for the club.
