United Star Gives Huge Hint As To When Their Could Be News About His Future

Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku says he expects there to be news to announce about his future very soon.

Speaking after United’s 2-0 win over Perth Glory on Saturday, the Belgian international gave this cryptic response to reporters:

“You guys will know something next week.”

Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio has confirmed he held talks over signing Lukaku but the two clubs are still believed to be far apart on their respective valuations of the player.

United are said to demanding £75m for the 26-year-old, as they look to recoup most of the fee they paid Everton for the player two years ago.

Inter, however, are reportedly looking for an initial two-year loan deal, and would only then be prepared to pay a €10m (£9m) loan fee upfront, plus an additional €60m (£54m) over 24 months to seal a permanent transfer.

That works out at £12m below United’s asking price so it seems that unless the Nerazzurri return with a bigger offer, Lukaku’s prediction for a resolution this week could be wide of the mark.
