Aston Villa are interested in signing Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma but the Seagulls are demanding £50m for the 25-year-old, according to reports in the English media.
Manchester United, along with Liverpool and Arsenal, are also believed to be keeping tabs on the Malian international and, reacting to Villa’s interest, fans on Twitter expressed their frustration as to why the Red Devils won’t make a bid for the player:
United should go for him

dm is our main problem and if this club does not want to splash 50 mil on a player who has proven himself in this league and has played well then might just delete the club

Bit negative!

Again proving the ambition of the club.
If UTD were really serious about getting back to success on the pitch, they will need to give a man like Rangnick a senior position with the power to make the footballing decisions.
Unfortunately we all know that will never happen.— marcky (@marcky411) January 9, 2022
He’s not going to downgrade to villa

50 million for us means 20 million for villa.

United isn’t signing anybody this month, that’s the sad reality we all have to deal with

He is undoubtedly a very good midfielder but, with just eighteen months left on his current deal at the Amex Stadium, it’s difficult to see any club, even Villa, meeting Brighton’s £50m asking price.
Bissouma appears to be running down his contract into its final year, so it is more likely that United will get involved in a battle with other teams for his signature next summer.
Considering United’s problems in central midfield at the moment, though, that may not be soon enough.
