Manchester United will have serious competition for Benfica striker Goncalo Ramos, according to reports in the English media.
The Portuguese international set alight the World Cup with his hat trick against Switzerland earlier this week and he is now being pursued by no less than six Premier League teams.
In addition to the Red Devils and Newcastle, who have both been linked with Ramos previously, Arsenal, Leeds, Wolves and Southampton are also said to have taken a keen interest in the forward.
At club level, the 21-year-old has been impressive this season, bagging 14 goals for Benfica, and the Portuguese side are unlikely to sell him on the cheap.
Ramos has a €120m (£103m) release clause in his contract, which means Benfica are in a very strong position if the likes of United do come calling during the January transfer window. We shall see if Erik ten Hag’s side do in fact step up their pursuit of the player.
