United Set To ‘Allow’ Top Youngster To Leave The Club As Three Teams Circle

Manchester United will “allow” James Garner to leave on loan next season so the 19-year-old can get more first-team experience, according to the Daily Mail.

A move to the Championship looks like a distinct possibility with the likes of Cardiff City, Swansea and Sheffield Wednesday all believed to be keen on the teenager.

Garner has been afforded some opportunities by manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, having made six appearances in all competitions this campaign.

The midfielder played four games in the Europa League group stages, while he has also featured in the Carabao Cup and the Premier League.

However, Garner will need greater game time in order to develop his game further, but with the likes of Scott McTominay, Fred and Nemanja Matic ahead of him in the pecking order, a temporary switch away from Old Trafford is seen as the best solution.

Out of the three interested clubs, Swansea could be seen as the best destination with former England Under 17 manager Steve Cooper now in charge at the Liberty Stadium.
