United ‘Set For A Busy January’ As They Line Up 34.5M Double Swoop

Manchester United are “set for a busy January” according to Daily Mail journalist Sami Mokbel. The reporter claims the Red Devils are planning bids for two players when the transfer window opens next month.

It is believed that an approach for Norwich right-back Max Aarons is likely, with United having cooled their interest in Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Trippier following his ten-week ban for betting infringements.

Aarons has been on the radar of a number of clubs, including Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Tottenham, but teams have been put off by the 20-year-old’s reported £30m price tag up until now. Whether United will try and lower the Canaries’ demand, we shall have to wait and see.

In addition to the Norwich defender, Mokbel reports that United are closing in on a deal for Independiente del Valle midfielder Moises Caicedo. A £4.5m fee has already been agreed but it is said that paperwork is holding up the move from going ahead.
