United Scouts Make Trip To See South American Ace Score His 14th Goal In 18 League Games This Season

Manchester United had scouts in the stands for Porto’s 3-1 win over Famalicao yesterday evening, according to O Jogo.

The Portuguese publication claims that representatives from the Red Devils were likely keeping tabs on Luis Diaz, who scored his 14th league goal in just 18 appearances last night.

While the Colombian international was not the only impressive performer for Porto, he has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months, with Chelsea, Liverpool and Newcastle having also been mentioned as potential suitors.

Whether United would actually need a player like Diaz, though, is another matter. The 24-year-old generally plays off the left wing, cutting in onto his stronger right foot.

With the likes of Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga in the squad, it is not an area that United are exactly short of options in, but the potential departure of Anthony Martial may have prompted the club to look at possible replacements.
