United Revive Pursuit Of Inter Milan Star As Possible Exchange With Van De Beek Is Suggested

Manchester United are lining up a move for Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in the January transfer window, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Croatian was first linked with a switch to Old Trafford back in July, with the Red Devils keen on reinforcing their options in the middle of the park. He has also been mentioned as a potential target for Liverpool and Chelsea.

Brozovic is out of contract next year, so United could secure the 28-year-old’s services on a pre-contract agreement in January, but it appears that the club want him earlier than that.

Inter are reportedly interested in recruiting Donny van de Beek so there are suggestions that the Serie A champions could ask for the Dutchman in exchange for Brozovic.

However, that is highly unlikely to happen considering the Croatian international’s contract situation. Van de Beek cost United £35m just over a year ago, while Brozovic’s value would be considerably below that figure.

There is a good chance that the Manchester club’s interest in the Inter Milan star is genuine, but it would be a huge shock if they were open to any sort of player exchange.
