United Revive Move For £82m Rated Playmaker After New Contacts Were Made ‘Last Week’

Manchester United remain interested in signing Lazio attacking midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, according to Footmercato.net.

The French website claims the Red Devils have reignited a move for the Serbian international, having made new contacts with the player’s representative only “last week.”

United reportedly tried and failed with a €90m (£82m) bid for Milinkovic-Savic last summer but there have been noises coming out of Rome in recent weeks that Lazio are now willing to sell the 25-year-old.

The player himself is also “open to a new adventure,” Footmercato report, but it appears that United will have competition from two other Premier League clubs to sign the playmaker.

It is believed that Chelsea and Tottenham are also interested in Milinkovic-Savic, while Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus are said to be keeping tabs on him.

The Serbian could well be seen as a potential alternative to Jack Grealish, with the Aston Villa captain reportedly being manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s main target, along with Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.
