United Revive Deal For Bundesliga Midfield Maestro After Failing With January Loan Bid

Manchester United are “working on a deal” to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Corentin Tolisso, according to the Express. The Frenchman, who has also been linked with Arsenal, is set to leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

The Red Devils’ interest in the 25-year-old stretches back to January when it is believed they had a loan bid knocked back. However, it seems the Bundesliga champions have had a change of heart.

Bayern are now said to be willing to cut their losses on Tolisso, who signed from Lyon for £37m three years ago, as they look to free up funds to sign Manchester City‘s Leroy Sane.

The France international has had his struggles with injuries since his move to Germany but this season, he has been fully fit for the most part. Even so, he hasn’t been able to establish himself as a regular first-team starter under head coach Hansi Flick.

Arsenal won’t be the only team who will be competing with United for Tolisso’s signature, with the Express claiming that Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Napoli and Inter Milan are also interested in the player.
