United ‘Ready’ To Make Move For Brazilian Star As Ten Hag Identifies Frimpong Alternative

Manchester United are “ready” to make an approach for Monaco right-back Vanderson, according to RMC Sport.

The French radio station claims that the Red Devils are one of a number of English teams keeping tabs on the defender ahead of the summer transfer window.

Vanderson only moved to Monaco from Gremio fifteen months ago but he has quickly established himself as a regular starter for the Ligue One club.

United boss Erik ten Hag is known to be keen on strengthening the right side of defence, with respected journalists confirming that Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong is one of the Dutchman’s key targets.

It’s likely that Vanderson is being considered as an alternative, just in case Frimpong’s price tag proves to be too high.

Considering Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s excellent recent form, though, the Red Devils may make signing a new right-back less of a priority, but we shall see how things progress in the coming weeks.
