United Press Ahead With Plans To Sign Ivorian Midfield General As They Eye Replacement For Pogba

Manchester United are pressing to sign AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Ivorian international is out of contract at the end of the season and the Red Devils are reportedly targeting the player as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba.

Kessie does have other suitors, with it being claimed that the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham are very keen on the 24-year-old.

It has also been suggested by the English press that Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, Everton and Leicester could be in the mix for the Ivorian, but much will depend on whether Milan can persuade Kessie into signing a new deal.

At the moment, there is believed to be an impasse in negotiations and there is a strong possibility that he will reach the final six months of his contract without an agreement being reached.

If that does happen, Kessie will be free to talk to other clubs, ahead of a possible free transfer in July.
