United Preparing For Summer Fight With Chelsea For Highly Rated Danish Playmaker

Manchester United will look to a make a move for Tottenham midfielder Christian Eriksen in the summer, according to the Daily Express.

The Red Devils will be joined by Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in the race for the 26-year-old with the Dane not having agreed a new contract with Spurs.

Erkisen’s current deal expires in 2020 and the London club will have to make a decision about a sale at the end of the season if he hasn’t signed new terms by then.


The midfielder had been interesting Real Madrid but the La Liga side are said to have been put off by the cost of the transfer.

Eriksen is Tottenham’s key playmaker, having scored six goals and provided ten assists in 29 appearances for far this campaign.

Unlike his teammates Harry Kane and Dele Alli, who have signed new contracts in recent months, the Dane has not indicated publicly that he is looking to stay or leave.

If Eriksen has 12 months remaining on his deal next summer, however, a battle for his signature will surely begin.
