United Prepared To DOUBLE Serie A Marksman’s Wages As They Step Up Attempts To Secure 85M Transfer

Manchester United will look to offer Napoli striker Victor Osimhen more than double the salary he is currently earning, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Yahoo! Sport).

The Nigerian international could earn up to £146,000 a week (or £7.6m a year) if he does agree a move to Old Trafford this summer.

It is believed that Arsenal could challenge United for Osimhen but the Red Devils are the likeliest team to pay Napoli’s asking price, which currently stands at a hefty €100m (£85m).

With Edinson Cavani expected to leave Manchester at the end of the season, and with Anthony Martial unlikely to stay either, United do need to strengthen their options up front.

Osimhen possesses power, strength and finishing ability, having scored 18 goals in 31 appearances for Napoli so far this campaign, so he would be a decent addition to the squad. We shall have to wait and see whether a deal can be struck in the coming weeks.
