United Ace Named Alongside Arsenal, Liverpool And Brighton Stars In WhoScored’s Team Of The Week

Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund has been selected in WhoScored.com‘s Team of the Week for Matchweek 25.

The Denmark international scored a brace in the Red Devils’ 2-1 win over Luton Town on Sunday evening.

Hojlund has now scored an impressive 7 goals, as well as providing 2 assists, in his last 6 league games. It has been a big turnaround in the forward’s form, who had failed to score in any of his first 14 Premier League appearances.

Whoscored gave him a rating of 8.63 after his performance against Luton, with many fans and pundits now very excited about his potential.

Merson has been waxing lyrical about the United striker

Even before his latest impressive display at Kenilworth Road, Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson predicted that the Dane had a very bright future ahead of him at United:

“I’m a huge Hojlund fan and genuinely believe he’s a superstar in the making. He’s just 21 but looks like a man already, I really like how he’s come into his own since the turn of the year after what was a tough start to life at a new club. There isn’t much he can’t do and I can only see him getting better.”

Who else joins Hojlund in Whoscored’s XI?

Liverpool’s Caoimhin Kelleher was named as the keeper, with the Republic of Ireland international having kept goal for the Reds in the absence of the injured Alisson Becker against Brentford.

In defence, Brighton’s Jan Paul van Hecke and Lewis Dunk were chosen alongside Everton’s James Tarkowski, whose team drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace on Monday night.

There are two more Brighton players in midfield. Pascal Gross and Simon Adingra were selected with Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and Arsenal pair Martin Odegaard & Kai Havertz. Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins joins Hojlund up front to make up the eleven.
