“He Will…” – Gary Lineker Makes Exciting Prediction About Rasmus Hojlund

BBC presenter Gary Lineker says he has already seen enough of Rasmus Hojlund to know that he will “score goals” for Manchester United.

The Danish international has hit the back of the net once in his first 3 appearances since arriving from Atalanta in the summer and Lineker predicts there will be many more to come:

“I have watched him in his first two or three games and he has only scored one goal, against Bayern, but he looks to me like he will score goals. I like his movement.”

Hojlund is still a pretty raw, young talent, as we saw against Burnley at the weekend. There were a few misplaced passes and he did struggle to get into the game, with his only chance coming when he failed to get on the end of a Diogo Dalot cross.

However, as Lineker mentions, there are plenty of good signs. His movement is sharp and he works hard off the ball, so the 20-year-old is a good fit for Erik ten Hag’s style of play.

There is a lot of pressure on Hojlund to perform

Not only is the Dane having to deal with being the club’s biggest summer signing, with United having spent £72m to bring him to Old Trafford, he is also being asked to be the club’s main goal threat right from the off.

With Anthony Martial not really providing much in the way of backup, it is up to both Hojlund and Marcus Rashford to provide the goals.

In an ideal world, you would have liked the striker to have time to settle in, but the pressure is very much on him to score straight away. Lineker, at least, believes the young forward is up to the task.
