Manchester United No.1 Andre Onana has saved an expected 7.68 goals this season, according to DataMB.
The statisticians claim that is a higher figure than any other goalkeeper in the Premier League.
Onana has very much split opinion since arriving from Inter Milan in the summer and this latest stat has again sparked a debate among fans on X over whether he is actually a good shot-stopper:

Onana has made mistakes this campaign
Although the Cameroon international has improved his form in recent weeks, there can be no getting away from the fact that he made a number of calamitous errors earlier in the season.
Unless Onana can completely eradicate the mistakes from his game, there will always be a section of United supporters who will doubt whether he deserves to be the club’s first-choice keeper.
His performance against Villa was crucial to United getting the win
There have been times this season when Onana has cost the team points but that certainly wasn’t the case at Villa Park last weekweek.
The 27-year-old pulled off a number of good saves that helped his team secure a vital victory. If he continues in this vein, criticism about his performances will begin to ebb away.
Consistency is, of course, crucial and Onana will be looking to follow up the Villa display against Luton Town on Sunday.
