United Named As Shock Contender To Sign French World Cup Winner Who Could Leave On A Free In 2024

Manchester United could be among the suitors if Kylian Mbappe opts to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in 2024, according to reports in the Spanish media.

The French World Cup winner only signed a new deal back in May which extended his stay at PSG until 2025, but it has been subsequently revealed that the final year is optional.

Mbappe was tempted by an offer from Real Madrid before deciding to remain in France, so the La Liga champions are likely to revive their interest if the player decides to end his contract early.

However, there is also a strong possibility that Premier League clubs will enter the mix, with it being suggested that United would be a leading contender (probably due to the financial cost of signing the 23-year-old).

Mbappe has revealed in the past that he has held talks with Liverpool, so Jurgen Klopp’s side would probably be an option for the striker as well, while you couldn’t rule out Manchester City and Chelsea getting involved either.
