United Named Among Trio Of Premier League Clubs Pursuing Canadian Wonderkid

Manchester United are one of three Premier League clubs who are interested in signing Toronto FC winger Jahkeele Marshall-Rutty, according to reports in Italy.

Chelsea and Manchester City are also believed to be tracking the Canadian starlet, along with Serie A champions Juventus and German club Bayern Munich.

At the moment, it is thought that only City have decided to make a formal approach for Marshall-Rutty, having made an enquiry for the 16-year-old at the behest of manager Pep Guardiola who is excited by the teenager’s potential.

United have themselves been very active in signing young players over the past couple of years. The likes of Hannibal Mejbri, Amad Diallo and Facundo Pellistri have all been signed for significant fees despite not having much first-team experience.

Whether they will do the same thing with Marshall-Rutty and beat other teams to the youngster’s signature, we shall have to wait and see.
