United Make Shock Transfer Decision Following Links To 4 Time Champions League Winner

Manchester United will not get involved in the race to sign Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos on a free transfer, according to reports in the English media.

The Red Devils, along with Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain and Sevilla have all been tipped as potential destinations for the four-time Champion League winner.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are said to be unhappy with how Ramos treated them in 2015. United were close to signing him from Real before the defender opted to put pen to paper on a new contract at the La Liga club instead.

That experience has led to vice-chairman Ed Woodward and others in the club’s hierarchy seemingly ruling out an approach now. PSG are thought to be favourites to sign the Spaniard currently.

The Manchester side are seemingly focused on signing Ramos’s teammate Raphael Varane, with reports today suggesting that they have already had a bid rejected for the Frenchman.
