United Make Contact With Agents Of Bournemouth Star As They Line Up Sancho Alternative

Manchester United have made contact with Bournemouth winger David Brooks’ representatives, according to reports in the Italian media.

One of the main priorities for the next transfer window will be a player who can strengthen the right flank, and the Red Devils have reportedly identified the Cherries star as a potential option.

Jadon Sancho is believed to be United’s priority, but there are likely to be contingency plans in place if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side can’t agree a transfer fee for the 20-year-old or if the player decides to stay at Borussia Dortmund.

Brooks would, though, still be a surprise choice considering he has spent the whole of this season out with an ankle injury.

The winger did, however, have an excellent first campaign with Bournemouth, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in 30 Premier League appearances.

Brooks’ ability to play as a number ten and in more central areas will also offer United greater flexibility in their squad so there are a number of reasons why the Manchester club could be interested in the Welshman.
