United Look Set To Secure Star On £350,000 A Week, Four Year Deal

Manchester United believe that goalkeeper David De Gea will sign a new contract with the club, according to the Sun.

The Red Devils have been negotiating with the Spaniard for a while, but they have now placed a new improved deal on the table.

De Gea is set to be offered a £350,000 a week, four-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year.

Talks had reached an impasse with claims that United were not prepared to pay above £300,000 a week.

De Gea has reportedly insisted on parity with the club’s highest earner, Alexis Sanchez, who is on a staggering £500,000 a week.

However, United think this latest improved offer will see the keeper sign on the dotted line.

De Gea currently has just 12 months left on his current deal at Old Trafford, with Paris Saint-Germain believed to be interested in taking him to France.

Whether United have now done enough to convince him into staying at the club, we shall have to wait and see.
