United Keeping Tabs On French Superstar After Cut Price Release Clause Is Revealed

Manchester United are one of three teams keeping an eye on Antoine Griezmann’s situation at Atletico Madrid, according to reports in Spain.

It has emerged that the Frenchman’s release clause will drop from €200m (£171.6m) to €120m (£103m) on July 1st.

Griezmann was close to signing for Barcelona last summer, only to decide against the move and sign a new deal at the Wanda Metropolitano.

Barca are still said to be interested with the France international reportedly reconsidering his future with Atletico.

In addition to the Catalan club and United, Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Griezmann, and with the news about the release clause, all three clubs could make their move in the summer.

Atletico could look to auction off the player before the July 1st deadline in order to get a bigger fee, but the power is very much in the hands of the player, who will have his pick of Europe’s top clubs.
