United Keen To Offload FOUR Players But Are Resigned To Keeping A Fifth

Manchester United are looking to offload Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo, Sergio Romero and Andreas Pereira before the transfer window closes, according to reports in the local media.

Smalling spent last season out on loan at Roma, and the Giallorossi are reportedly still in negotiations to sign him on a permanent basis. Rojo, meanwhile, is said to be interested in moving back to Argentina, with both players currently training on their own.

Goalkeeper Romero has not returned to training at all and he has been told he will be allowed to leave, with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer now having Dean Henderson as the club’s second choice behind David De Gea.

Pereira is also in a similar boat after falling out of favour at Old Trafford, with Portuguese, Spanish and German clubs all believed to be pursuing the Brazilian international.

One player who will not be sold, though, is Phil Jones with the defender’s knee injury meaning the Red Devils are resigned to the fact that no club will be interested in taking him.
