United Join Four Clubs In Race To Secure 3 Time Champions League Winner On Free Transfer

Manchester United are interested in signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez on a free transfer this summer, according to reports in Spain.

The three-time Champions League winner has turned down the La Liga champions latest contract offer and he now appears destined to leave the Bernabeu when his current deal expires in June.

United are not the only team eyeing a move for Vazquez, though. Bayern Munich are also said to be after the 29-year-old, along with three other English teams; Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham.

The Spaniard has been used as a right-back by manager Zinedine Zidane, for the most part, this campaign, having scored two goals and contributed seven assists in 31 appearances.

United are believed to be looking to provide Aaron Wan-Bissaka with some competition so that is likely the reason why the Red Devils are seriously considering Vazquez. The fact that he is available for free will, almost certainly, have made him a more attractive option too.
