Manchester United are interested in signing Stoke City striker Emre Tezgel, according to reports in the English media.
The England Under 17 international has been compared to Harry Kane by some in the Potters’ youth academy, after impressing for the Championship side at Under 18 level.
Tezgel has scored seven in just four appearances for the Under 18s this campaign, including three goals against Liverpool. Despite only being 16 years of age, he has also trained with the club’s Under 23s.
For England, the teenager has been equally impressive, having bagged braces against both Portugal and the Netherlands’ Under 17s last month.
Unsurprisingly, United are not the only Premier League side keeping tabs on Tezgel, with Manchester City and Chelsea also reportedly keen on snapping up the forward.
Tezgel has yet to make his senior debut for Stoke but, considering his excellent performances at youth level for both club and country, it seems like only a matter of time before he gets his first appearance.
