Manchester United have joined the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in tracking Villarreal’s Samuel Chukwueze, according to 90min.com.
The Nigerian international could well be seen as a potential alternative to Jadon Sancho, with the pacey winger having an £80m release clause, which would make him slightly cheaper than the Borussia Dortmund star.
United will have a whole host of Premier League teams competing with them for Chukwueze’s signature. In addition to Chelsea and Liverpool, Wolves, Leicester and Everton are also keeping tabs on the 21-year-old.
This season, the winger has scored just one goal and provided two assists in 10 appearances for Villarreal. He generally plays off the right-wing, cutting in onto his stronger left foot to get shots away on goal.
In contrast, Sancho is very much a conventional right-winger, and his record this campaign is slightly better than Chukwueze, having bagged two goals and contributed four assists in eight games for Dortmund.
