Manchester United are among the teams likely to make a move for Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt, according to Tuttomercatoweb.com.

The Italian website reports that the Dutchman’s agent Mino Raiola is trying to find a new club for his client, but options are believed to be limited as the player is one of the “highest-paid” in Italy.

Barcelona have already been ruled out, but United, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are believed to be in the frame for de Ligt, who has recently been described as “another van Dijk”.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential destinations for the 22-year-old by other reports but TMW do not name either team in their story.

De Ligt does have a €130m (£110m) release clause but no club is expected to pay that figure, with it being suggested that Juve may have to settle for half that amount (€65m or £55m).
