United Involved In Four Team Tussle For 15-Goal Netherlands Star

Manchester United are one of four teams interested in PSV Eindhoven winger Steven Bergwijn, according to Bild.

The German tabloid reports that the Red Devils, Bayern Munich, Tottenham and Inter Milan are all keeping tabs on the player.

United were previously linked with Bergwijn back in January, but the signing of Daniel James from Swansea was thought to have reduced manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s need for another wide man.

However, it appears the Manchester club do still retain an interest in the Dutch international, who performed well for PSV last campaign.

Bergwijn scored 15 goals and contributed 13 assists in 41 appearances, alternating between playing on the right and left wings.

At 21 years of age, he has the potential to develop his game and would fit into Solskjaer’s policy of signing young, hungry players.

Whether Bergwign is a priority, it seems doubtful, though, with a central midfielder and centre-back more urgently needed ahead of the upcoming season.
