Latest Manchester United Injury News: Updates On Andre Onana, Luke Shaw And 9 Other Players

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is hopeful of being back in contention for the game against Everton this weekend.

The 27-year-old suffered a pelvis injury in Cameroon’s 3-0 victory against Mauritius on Friday. He was forced off with 10 minutes to go and won’t play against Libya on Tuesday evening.

Onana will still need to be assessed by United’s medical team but, as it is not a muscular problem, it is believed that the keeper will return to action relatively quickly.

Luke Shaw could make his comeback at Goodison Park on Sunday. The defender has not played since August due to a muscular injury but he is finally ready to play after 3 months on the sidelines.

Updates on the fitness of 9 other Manchester United players

Marcus Rashford is not expected to miss the Everton clash. The England international is already back in training, having suffered no ill effects after colliding with Trent Alexander-Arnold during the Three Lions’ win over Malta.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka is, however, still a doubt for this weekend. The fullback was not available for the 1-0 win over Luton Town before the international break due to illness.

Tyrell Malacia is close to full fitness, having missed the start of the season after undergoing knee surgery in the summer. Christian Eriksen is recovering from his own knee issue that he picked up against Luton, and he is not expected to play again until mid-December.

Rasmus Hojlund also sustained a muscular injury in that match but he won’t be back in contention before the game versus Newcastle on Saturday week. Jonny Evans could return from a thigh strain for the same fixture.

Casemiro (hamstring) and Lisandro Martinez (foot) won’t play before Christmas while Amad Diallo is still working hard to recover from a knee injury.
