Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez has been pictured training with the Argentina squad ahead of their friendlies against El Salvador and Costa Rica.
The centre-back has not played since sustaining a knee injury in the 3-0 win over West Ham at the start of February.
However, Martinez appears to be closing in on his comeback and supporters on X are highly anticipating his return to action:

Will Martinez be fit to face Brentford?
It was estimated that the Argentinian international would be out for up to 8 weeks so there is a good chance that he will be available for the trip to the GTech Community Stadium on Saturday week.
However, after being out for so long, you wouldn’t expect Martinez to be ready to start. A place on the substitutes bench is definitely a possibility.
A Manchester United injury update
In addition to Martinez, three other players could return to fitness after the international break. Jonny Evans is likely to be ready, along with Casemiro and Altay Bayindir who both have muscular injuries.
Luke Shaw, Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial are still believed to be quite some distance from being in contention to play. Malacia’s fitness remains a mystery, having had multiple setbacks on his return from a knee injury. Martial, meanwhile, should be back at some point next month once he has completed rehab following a groin operation.
